Prior to working at Fort Collins Brewery, Shaun worked at Barrels and Bottles Brewing and Oskar Blues. We’re lucky to have Shaun as one of our brewers. When he’s not giving dead pan cryptic responses to general inquiries, you’ll find Shaun brewing beer, blending beer, barreling beer, centrifuging beer, drinking beer (again for QC purposes), talking about beer, and whispering sweet nothings to yeast.

If you weren’t working at FCB and money was not an issue, what would you be doing?

Probably still brewing beer in my time that wasn’t spent traveling the country racing cars.

Can you name the beer or moment that made you fall in love with craft?

Trying Leffe Blonde from Abbaye de Leffe for the first time and realizing that beer could be full-flavored convinced me to try new things. Arrogant Bastard is probably the beer that got me hooked though.

What is the most notable attribute that you’d like to be known for on your tombstone?

That my body was never found.

What is your favorite beer and food pairing?

A west coast IPA and some extra spicy Jungle Curry.
